Did you ever swap bedrooms with your siblings when you were growing up? We did quite often and I always really liked it. There is always something a bit exciting about being in a new space, even if it's just a bedroom.
Yesterday I did some swapsies at my house - I live on my own so I didn't have to bribe any siblings, but I did have to move all the stuff by myself (that's always the worst bit about room swaps, isn't it?)
At my place, I've got two bedrooms and one smaller room that I was using as the study. Problem was, the light was terrible in there and it was so so small that I felt like I was in a box. And that's not conducive to productivity of any kind. So I decided to take over the spare room and use the smaller one for storage. As soon as I did it, I knew it was worth the hassle. I've positioned the desk so it is facing towards the window - much more pleasant than facing the wall - much nicer for those moments when you need to stare out a window wistfully. (Other people do that too, yes?)
It has made me realise that I need to buy another bookcase - I've had to stack a whole heap on top of the cupboard in the meantime. It has also made me realise that I need to clean the windows.
Hope you've had a lovely weekend. One more week of Term 3 and then it's the holidays - yay!
