Earlier this year I attended a workshop held by The School in Hobart. Kara Rosenlund taught us all about vignettes, creating a masterpiece before our very eyes.
It was the first time I thought of my collection of vintage and thrifted bits and pieces as more than just opportunities to gather dust. It was the first time I was introduced to the term "props library" and it has changed the way I think about not only creating still life images but also the way I think about what I collect and forage and find. And that's nice.
