When busy, cold winter-in-late-autumn weeks are punctuated by loveliness it kind of makes those other bits a bit more bearable, no? The first photo is my current reading stack (I like to have quite a few stacks of books around the house, not necessarily organised by theme or anything kooky like that, just spending some time together while they wait for my attention.) It features Richard Flanagan's Man Booker Prize winner from last year - that one's for book club. There's also this gorgeous lady's book and a couple from one of my other favourite cooks in the whole world. I'm coveting her kitchen from the Kitchen Notebook series that has recently been on the telly. Did you see it?
There was a package in the post from Zara - I won her giveaway which included beautiful bunting, a handy tote bag, a copy of this magazine and a gorgeous hanging flag. Thanks so much for such a lovely prize, Zara! I'm hoping to send a little something your way soon too!
I managed to squeeze in a quick photo shoot yesterday, as well as lunch with my mum and dad (that rarely happens on a weekday.)
Today I put the learning part of my brain into action (it's a nice change to swap around and be the student but I find that I get distracted way too easily!) and took part in a Seedsmiths workshop for Lightroom. We were instructed by this talented local photographer, and it was brilliant - I learnt so (so) much. Thanks Ed! You can see a few quick Instagrams from the workshop here.
What kinds of loveliness have popped up during your week? Have you read the Flanagan or got your hands on Michelle's book yet?
