I don't know about you, but I've had to rather quickly pull myself out of that lazy-hazy bit around Christmas and New Year. You know, the bit where you feel you can legit put off all the stuff you really (really) need to do because, hey! It's Christmas! And hey! It's New Year's!
I've been trying to get myself back into some kind of routine. Waking up at a decent time, spending mornings doing brain-heavier tasks so that I don't have to kick it into gear in the afternoon (hard enough normally, but oh-so-difficult during summer holidays.)
Some school work has been done. Luckily I'm an English teacher, so reading totally counts. I've decided to tackle 'Othello' with my Literature students this year, so that has mostly been my focus. We're also doing The Great Gatsby and Wuthering Heights, among other things.
Last weekend I photographed a wedding at Highfield House. I'm looking forward to sharing some of those images soon-ish, so keep checking back if you'd like to see them.
Plus! At the end of the month I'll be photographing this event for Produce to the People. If you're a local and can help out, do come along on the day. They do great stuff for our community and I'm chuffed to support them.
There's also quite a bit happening on this front at the moment - I'll be doing a separate post about that soon with more details.
Hope you're taking some time to enjoy these summer days too!
