On Monday I had lunch with my parents at Villarett gardens, near Railton on the North West coast. There's a sweet little tearoom there, where we had a meal and the most insanely delicious cheesecake for dessert. It was so. freaking. good.
Afterwards, mum and I did that thing we do on these types of trips. We explored the grounds, taking photos as we went along. It was a beautiful sunny spring day - the kind where you know you needed to have put on sunscreen and a hat before venturing outside. Which felt odd, considering as we drove up there we spotted snow on surrounding mountains.
If you haven't been, there are directions on their website (the link is above.) It's a very pretty spot - and if the cheesecake is still on the specials board, make sure you order it - trust me, you won't regret it!
Did you do anything special for the long weekend?
