Earlier this month I was incredibly honoured to help capture Claire and Jesse's wedding day held at a number of different venues around Hobart. The girls were preparing at Howrah, while the boys were at Battery Point. Serious props to the boys for going the whole hog and learning to tie their bow ties themselves on the day! I'm honestly considering learning how to tie all kinds of different ties after seeing how tricky it is! One of the groomsmen said at one point (when it was looking like a Plan B might be necessary) that he'd give ten bucks to anyone who could tie his tie right then and there. I'm not sure I'd be cheeky enough to charge for that service if I added it to my repertoire though!
Jesse and I then met up with Claire at #thebarnTAS, which was the perfect opportunity and setting for some first look photos (if you're getting married, I strongly suggest having photos of yourself and your partner taken prior to the ceremony, it's great to help ease some of those jitters!) Following that, we had our bridal party photos over at St David's Park, then headed back to Battery Point for some portraits with Claire's family (we did the portraits with Jesse's family following the ceremony.)
Claire and Jesse's ceremony was held at the Waterside Pavilion, I loved that space! I'd definitely recommend it as a venue for smaller weddings. It's a bit cute, frankly. After the ceremony we all made our way out to Grove in the Huon Valley, to Willie Smith's Apple Shed (one of my favourite places in the whole entire world!) We were entertained by Detour, who played so many crowd favourites (as you can possibly tell from the dancefloor shenanigans).
The biggest of thank yous to Claire, Jesse, their family and their friends for being so welcoming on the day - I had an absolute blast getting to know you all (not to mention getting to witness you all cut some serious rug) and finally, congratulations to Claire and Jesse on your wedding!
