A Peter Rabbit picnic in the park would have to be one of the sweetest ways to celebrate your first birthday, yes? Yes!
Back at the end of January, Isabelle's family and friends gathered together in a local park in Burnie, Tasmania to celebrate and play and eat the very best jelly cakes and macarons on the planet. Not to mention Isabelle's birthday cake which Em made and decorated herself. Em's eye for detail and her floral arrangements are completely amazing and I totally think she should go into party planning and wedding styling as well as her gorgeous flowers. Maybe one day I'll be able to convince her?
Also, did you know that slides are a lot (a lot!) of fun? If you weren't sure, you can find out about that in some of the photos below. I think it's fair to say everyone thoroughly recommends a slide, just in case you were wondering about that. Also, don't be afraid to get a little creative and think outside the box with your sliding. There are a multitude of different ways to slide and I personally think you should aim to use as many of them as possible. There are a few options expertly demonstrated below for your reference.
The biggest of thank yous to Em, Jimmy, Matilda and Isabelle for having me along to help celebrate - I had a ball with you all as always. (And I'm not just saying that because of the jelly cakes!)
