The full moon made an appearance and much merry-making was had one evening last month at the Burnie Surf Life Saving Club when Will, Jen, their families and friends gathered to celebrate their engagement. You can certainly count on your local surf club for amazing beachside and ocean views when planning an event, can't you? (I guess it wouldn't make for much surf or the opportunity for the saving of lives in the surf if it didn't...)
A massively huge big-old thank you to Will and Jen for asking me to come along. It was awesome helping you celebrate with family and friends and, of course, seeing everyone cutting a rug as the night went on! Dancefloor shenanigans are always my favourite kind of shenanigans and Will and Jen's family and friends were definitely experts in that category. I'm fairly sure that expertise isn't limited to dancefloor shenanigans, but may also be of the shenanigans in general type, yes?
The food was lovely, the cake divine and the guest book area, complete with stamps, pens and pencils (flanked by happy-snaps of the happy couple) was such a great idea. Guests could leave Will and Jen a personalised message of congratulations, allowing their creativity to run rampant. (Interactive guest books are brilliant - definitely something to look into for your engagement party or wedding.)
Speaking of messages of congratulations ... Congratulations on your engagement, you two crazy kids! xx
