Last year when I got my car serviced, I asked mum if she wanted to take the opportunity for one of our photography excursions, with perhaps lunch somewhere nice. She thought that wasn't such a terrible idea, and so when I put my car in for its service yesterday, I asked her if she'd like to do the same. I can thoroughly recommend it as a way to fill in the time while you wait for your car. This time around we drove the old coastal road, sweeping alongside Penguin and Ulverstone, stopping at the Three Sisters lookout to capture the beautiful view.
Travelling onwards, we headed for Prickly Mo at Eugenana (I love that name, it cracks me up every single time - I'm very mature). The building is rustic and cosy with the heater going (and we definitely needed it yesterday - hello autumn, nice of you to drop in). There's a very cool retro vibe they've got going on with some old school pieces of furniture dotted around the building and the deck outside.
We ordered the small platter, which was plenty to share between the two of us - and paired very well (at least we thought so) with the 2016 pinot noir.
If you haven't been along, check it out some day!
