Not so long ago the parenticals traded in their previous car for a red one. That's it up there (looking a lot cleaner than it did by the time we finished driving around today!) So, mum and I figured that it would be a pretty good idea to take it and our cameras out for a little bit of road tripping.
We drove possibly the long way around (got to love GPS) and found ourselves up the back of Ulverstone at Preston Falls. It's a short, easy walk down from the parking spot and there are some lovely forest-y bits and pieces to look at on the way. We haven't had much rain (compared with this time last year, that's for sure!) but there was still enough water running down there to make it worth the look see. It was one of those mornings where there's some mist and fog hanging about the place, and the sunshine is always trying to break through it. I love those misty foggy mornings.
On the way back home, we detoured through Ulverstone for a quick and tasty lunch at Pier 01 - I had the Caesar salad and mum had the squid, we had a glass of red and a very yummy creme brûlée cheesecake for dessert, followed by coffee.
Overall, a pretty good start to term break if you ask me! (I know you didn't but we'll just pretend you did for now, yes?)
