Seabreeze at Killynaught, Boat Harbour is set in the most insanely beautiful part of the North-West Coast. I'm a bit biased because most of my teenage years were spent living at Boat Harbour - just down the road from Killynaught. But even with that bias, I'm sure you can see for yourself just how pretty it is. The views are spectacular - rolling, green paddocks dotted with trees and animals; all of which reach towards the ocean. On sunny days it really is breathtaking - and in fact, even when the weather is not as favourable it is still a very good sight to see.
The restaurant has a very loyal following with many taking the trip from other town centres to partake of the view, the delicious food and the great coffee - not to mention the lovely staff. Wait. You can't partake of the staff. But you can have a good old chat with them and that's nothing to sneeze at either. (Phew, glad I clarified that one.)
As well as lots of great local food and produce, Seabreeze at Killynaught do a rip-roaring trade with takeaway pizzas - my mum and dad (living as nearby as they do) heartily recommend those pizzas, as do many locals. The other feature locals (and their kidlets in particular) are very enamoured with are the goats, donkeys and cows housed in nearby paddocks just waiting for a pat on the head. Also nearby are the accommodation cottages - quant and sweet, they are a very popular attraction for tourists to the area.
If you've never taken the drive out to Boat Harbour to Seabreeze, can I quite frankly suggest you rectify that quicksticks? Perhaps pick a sunny weekend and head out for breakfast to enjoy the view? You know it's a good idea.
