Looking back through my archives, it's hard to believe how fast the seasons have travelled this year. Well. That's not true. They zoom by faster and faster each year, it really shouldn't be too hard to believe it anymore. When it was cooler, I took a set of photos at Winterfest in Latrobe - you can see the rest here.
I'm a big fan of the warmth of summer, but I also like the warmth of winter. One is created on its own, the other you have to work to make yourself with toasty hot chocolates, chunky woollen knits and cosy afternoons by the fire (or heater depending on your setup) watching old movies and reading old books.
We may be heading towards a summer season right now in Australia, but my mind is distinctly back in July when the air is crisp and the sky is sharp and then soft with rain. I've a soft spot for the cooler months - as long as there's somewhere nice to shelter.
