I just quickly wanted to share a new project I'm involved in. (Yes, yes. Another one. I can't help myself!)
Austock Photo has been created by the folks at Boheem Design. These guys are my type of people. They saw a gap in the market of quality Australian stock photography and decided to get off their bums and do something about it. I'm a fan of that kind of thing.
I've been advised in the past to get my work the heck onto a stock photography site but up until now, I haven't really seen one where I think my stuff would feel at home. I think we all have a particular image in mind when someone says "stock photography" and, hey. That's fine, no judgement here. But it's just not my thing.
So, when Claire emailed me and asked if I'd be keen to hop aboard the Austock Photo ship - I said "ahoy matey!" No. I didn't say that. There were no sailing metaphors in our correspondence at all. What I did say was that I'd love to be part of it all. I apologise profusely for the mis-appropriation of sailing imagery in this paragraph. It (probably) won't happen again.
Keep an eye on the website (linked above), the FB page, blog and IG account for updates. If you're a photographer who'd like to be part of the Austock Photo stable, you can request an information pack here.
