The last week of winter saw a plethora of grape hyacinths blooming like crazy in the garden. They are just the prettiest colour and shape. They're basically a bit cute, really.
I'm re-reading Emma by Jane Austen; it's one of the texts a few of my students have chosen to do their external folio on. Others have gone with The Kite Runner, Never Let Me Go, Wanting, Elizabeth, Blade Runner and Skin. There's a few on that list I haven't seen/read, so I'm hoping to get to them over the next few weeks, before the folios are sent to Hobart and before I have to give them internal marks as well. Have you seen the films and/or read the books?
This weekend I've also been working on a few bits and pieces for a project I'm involved in next year withthis awesome lady. I think it's fair to say we're both terribly excited about it and we're just doing our best to get the planning and preparation underway so we can start to share what it is we're doing. It all sounds very mysterious at the moment but we'll be able to put those plans in place soon-ish! Don't worry - you'll be the first to know when it's all happening!
On Friday, a parcel I had been waiting for from here arrived. It has had me thinking about creativity and where I want to head and what I want to do and all sorts of big thinking things like that. It came at just the right time. Funny how that happens, isn't it?
Hope you've had a great week.
