Days like these are perfect for an afternoon stroll. The crackle and crunch of amber and fire-truck red leaves underfoot is deliciously satisfying. The slicking everything gets from a soft drizzle and a sky enveloped in powdery-grey clouds are soothing (well, they are to me anyway.)
It's that little bit of time just before winter really, properly sets in. When it's a bit nippy but you haven't grown weary of it yet. Those grey, rainy days are still interspersed by warm sunshine and bright, bright blue skies. Instead of skeleton-like branches reaching out like bare-boned arms, trees are abundant with colour - greens, reds and ambers, oranges and yellows; almost fleshy, definitely abundant.
Have you been able to get out and about and enjoy the colours and textures of autumn lately?
