I've been back from France for about a week now, and the jet lag is just beginning to quit kicking my bum. Mornings have been relatively easy, but by the time afternoon hits I feel a bit like a zombie. Classes have resumed at school for Term 4 and everything is going along well, even if I am a bit sleepier than usual.
And so the slew of photos begins - it's probably only fair to warn you that I have lots and lots to share. Lots and lots. And lots. Starting with Paris, which is where we started the trip. There are enough to make me think I should probably divide a Paris post into a couple of Paris posts - so again, forewarned is forearmed! It most likely will start to feel like you're being forced to watch an old-school projection of holiday slides, and if that happens, I won't be offended if you tune out a little. Otherwise, strap yourself in! There's a lot to see!
While in Paris, we stayed at the Mije hostel near St Paul. It was an incredibly handy spot - very close to the Metro station which we used daily to get around. In fact, when we arrived, our charter bus couldn't get down the street the hostel was on because of road closures, meaning we had to drag ourselves and our luggage onto the Metro right at the start of our journey. We learned very quickly how to manage it because of this!
Next time I've got some shots from the Arc de Triomphe and a few other touristy bits and pieces we got up to.
